Itinerary description

8 days/ 7 nights 

DAY 1. CITY OF ORIGIN – MADRID/BILBAO
Departure flight from city of origin to Madrid / Barcelona. Clarification meeting with the guide and onward journey by train / bus to Bilbao. Accommodation and dinner in Bilbao.

DAY 2. BILBAO (CITY) – SAN SEBASTIAN (OPCIONAL) – BILBAO
After breakfast, we take a tour of the city to get to know the most emblematic places of Bilbao. OPTIONAL we will have a guided tour of the spectacular Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao. Then we
will make an OPTIONAL tour to the spectacular Guggenheim Museum Bilbao and San Sebastian , famous for its gastronomy. Arrival in San Sebastian and free time for lunch (we go to the area of the old town to taste the famous and traditional pintxos, typical of the Basque Country. After the pintxos route, we´ll enjoy a relaxing coffee break in the Hondarribia area. After lunch, we will return to Bilbao.

DAY 3. BILBAO – LA RIOJA – BURGOS (CITY)
After breakfast, we´ll depart by bus for a wine tour, visiting wineries in the area of La Rioja, and enjoy a wine tasting at a family winery in the area . After lunch, we continue the trip to Burgos.
Arrival in Burgos and transfer to hotel. Visit the Cathedral before dinner, which will be at the hotel.

DAY 4. BURGOS – LEON (PM CITY)
Breakfast at the hotel and then travel towards Leon, through Castrojeriz, Fromista, Sahagun and finish in Leon. Transfer to Hotel. Lunch in Leon. After lunch, we enjoy a tour of the city of Leon, including the Cathedral and the Collegiate Church of San Isidoro. Dinner at the hotel.

DAY 5. LEON – ASTORGA – PONFERRADA – SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA
Breakfast at the hotel and then travel to Santiago de Compostela. We stop along the way to enjoy visits to the cities of Astorga and Ponferrada. Continuing the route to Santiago de Compostela. Transfer to Hotel. Dinner at the hotel.

DAY 6. SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit Santiago de Compostela , highlights of our trip: Plaza del Obradoiro , with the facades of the Cathedral and the Hostel of the Catholic Kings , Church of San Francisco , Fonseca Palace, Casa del Dean , Ruas Franco , Raina and Vilar . Rest of the day free. Dinner at the hotel.

DAY 7. SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA – MADRID (PM CITY)
After breakfast we depart towards Madrid. Transfer to hotel. OPTIONAL tour of Madrid. If the return is from Santiago de Compostela to the city of origin, on this day we would conduct an optional visit to the Rias Baixas, with seafood tasting and boat trip.

DAY 8. CITY OF ORIGIN
Transfer to airport and flight back to the origin.
End of services.
