ITINERARY DESCRIPTION

Program 8 days/7 nights.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN MADRID

Arrival at Madrid – Barajas airport. Assistance and transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 2: MADRID CITY TOUR – EL ESCORIAL 

Breakfast at the hotel. A panoramic tour of Madrid, beginning with the most important avenues, squares and buildings accompanied by an official tourist guide. We pass through famous avenues like Gran Via and Castellana, and well-known squares like Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor, where you can stop and enjoy a delicious lunch. Then we continue with a visit to the Royal Palace, old residence of the Kings of Spain, and Prado Museum, considered the world’s most comprehensive art gallery.  We finish the tour with Paseo de la Castellana, Plaza Colón and the football stadium of Real Madrid: “Santiago Bernabeu”.

In the afternoon, we go to San Lorenzo de El Escorial to visit El Escorial Monastery. The Monastery of El Escorial was built in the sixteenth century under the rule of the powerful King Felipe II, and conceived as Residence Monastery and Royal Pantheon of the House, becoming a symbol of the greatness of the Spanish Empire. It has been declared Historical Artistic and Heritage. We will visit the Monastery, the Royal Palace, the Pantheon on Kings and Infantes, Chapter Houses, Cloister of the Four Evangelists and Library. Finally, we suggest a visit to the parks and gardens in the town, them are unique for enjoyment and relaxation of all who come to this small town.

Return to Madrid. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 3: ÁVILA – SALAMANCA 

Breakfast at the hotel.  Departure to Ávila, one of the oldest cities in Spain. The city is surrounded by The Walls of Ávila dating back to the 11th century and which give the city the appearance of a castle town.  We will visit the exterior of the Cathedral, the Romanesque Basilica, the Main Square, the San Juan Bautista Church, San Juan de la Cruz Square and the House Convent of Santa Teresa.

After lunch, we continue the trip to Salamanca.  Free time to get to know Salamanca, one of the most beautiful World Heritage Cities in Spain.

DAY 4: SALAMANCA – COIMBRA – LISBON 

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Coimbra, of the most important university towns in Europe.  A panoramic tour of Coimbra visiting the most famous attractions and historic sights, accompanied by an official tourist guide. After lunch, we continue to Lisbon. Free time to get to know the city: Alfama District, Belem Tower, Jeronimos Monastery etc.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Lisbon.   

DAY 5: LISBON – SINTRA 

Breakfast at the hotel.  Departure to Sintra, a city that is very close to Lisbon, at only 30 kilometers away. Once there we will visit the Pena Palace, the National Palace, the Moors Castle and take a relaxing stroll and admire the extraordinary natural scenery.

Return to Lisbon. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Lisbon. 

DAY 6: MÉRIDA – TOLEDO 

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Toledo and stop in Mérida to admire the Roman Amphitheatre. This is a monument that belongs to the Archaeological Ensemble of Mérida, one of the largest archaeological sites in Spain. Continue trip to Toledo, one of the most visited historic cities in Spain.  Great place to wander through its narrow streets, squares and gardens, which makes the visit a unique experience. Toledo retains the image of a refugee in medieval city walls and towers. Within its historic grounds awaits the solemn cathedral, the neuralgic Zocodover Square and the imposing Alcázar facing the Tagus river.

DAY 7: TOLEDO

Breakfast at the hotel. Free time to enjoy Toledo, a city that is unique in its details, its history, culture and charm. The three cultures of the three monotheistic religions-Islam, Judaism and Christian, left their mark on the city.

DAY 8: DEPARTURE

Breakfast and free time until the time of transfer to the airport for your flight back home. End of trip and our services.
