ITINERARY DESCRIPTION

ITINERARY: 9 DAYS/ 8 Nights ONE ADDITIONAL NIGHT IN MARRAKECH

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN MARRAKECH

Arrival at Marrakech airport. Assistance and transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 2: MARRAKECH

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to the city of Marrakech, beginning with the Menara Gardens, a park of 14 hectares with a huge pond from the twelfth century in its center. The majestic minaret of the Koutoubia, a twin tower of the Giralda in Seville. Visit to the Saadian Tombs (a dynasty that made this city big). We continue to the Bahía Palace. An example of the Muslim Middle Ages, whose main highlight is the Ambassadors Room with its inverted boat shaped roof. The tour ends in a magical place: The Jemaa El F’nna Square (People’s Assembly), a World Heritage Site.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 3: CASABLANCA – RABAT – MEKNES FEZ:

Breakfast at the hotel.  Departure to Casablanca via Setat. Panoramic City Tour: Corniche Avenue, sea promenade and then the coastal highway on the way to Anfa until the Great Mosque of Hassan II (exterior visit; optionally you can visit the inside of it ). Departure towards the Imperial city of Rabat, capital of Morocco since 1912. The visit begins with the Royal Palace. “Dar el Makhzen”, which houses the Mosque of “Men of Fez”. Visit the Kasbah of Oudaias; Free time for lunch (not included) and departure to the Imperial city of Meknes. City tour of Moulay Ismail. We begin with the walls, with its magnificent doors Bab Mansour. We continue to the Aghal pond with an area of four hectares. The tour ends at the Mausoleum-Mosque of Moulay Ismail, made from stucco, stone and fine china. A short passage leads to the imperial city of Fez.

DAY 4: FEZ

Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will devote all day to get to know Fez. Visit to the golden doors of the Royal Palace, built by bronze masters. We will visit the old Medina with its Medersa Bou Anania, the Nejjarine Fountain, one of the most beautiful in the medina, Karaouine Mosque which houses one of the main cultural centers of Islam and is home to the University of Fez, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss. We stop in the famous district of tanners, unique in the world. Stop for lunch (not included). In the afternoon we continue to visit Fez, with its craftsmen neighborhoods divided by guilds. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 5: FEZ – MIDELD – ERFOUD (OPTION: NIGHT IN THE DUNES OF SAHARA)

Breakfast at the hotel. Crossing through the Middle Atlas mountains, towards the city of Mideld. Free time for lunch (not included). We continue on a beautiful road full of Berber life until we arrive in Erfoud, at the edge of Sahara desert. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

OPTIONAL NIGHT IN THE SAHARA DUNES:

If you want to live a unique experience, we recommend you spend a night in a Berber camp, near the highest dunes in the Sahara desert. Once we arrive in Erfoud, we take 4×4 jeeps and head to the high dunes of the Sahara. Dinner and night in camp. In Jaimas Berbers. The next morning, we offer you a 30 minute camel ride where you can enjoy an incredible show, which the “Star King” presents us every day.

DAY 6: ERFOUD – TINERHIR –TODRA GORGES –

“KASBAHS ROUTES” – KELLA M´GOUNA – OUARZAZATE

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the city of Tinerhir, full of crossroads , and from here we go to see one of the most beautiful natural landscapes on the trip, the Todra Gorges. Free time for lunch (not included) and then continue to Kelaa M´Gouna a famous village where gorgeous roses are grown. This is where the “Kasbahs Route” starts.  The fortresses built in adobe with crenellated towers and brick decorations are known by this name. Some are authentic fortified villages. They are located in a spectacular landscape. If the old Kasbahs seduce with their evocative power, the landscape moves by the strength of its contrasts of light and silence. This route is one of the most attractive and requested in Morocco. Continue to Ouarzazte. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 7: OUARZAZATE –AIT BEN  HADDOU KASBAH – MARRAKECH

Breakfast.  Departure to ´Taourirt Kasbah´, in other times the residency of the Pasha of Marrakech. Visit its interior including the chambers of the Pasha, the places of the favourite. We head towards the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. “World Heritage by UNESCO” built in adobe and spreading over the hill, you can observe it in all its magnificence. Such a photogenic city that it has been used in celluloid masterpieces like ´Sodom and Gomorrah´, or of Orson Welles, Lawrence of Arabia, David Lean and more recently in the blockbuster ´Jewel of the Nile´. Free time for lunch (not included) and continuation of the journey back to Marrakech.

DAY 8: MARRAKECH – AIRPORT

Breakfast and free time until the time of transfer to the airport for your flight back home. End of trip and our services.
